Club Lavka was established in 1991. It is situated in the main historically important centres of Prague, right next to the Charles Bridge and also very close to the National Theatre. Lavka's location has made it an ideal place for a wide range of cultural events. This supreme location attracts a lively tourist-heavy crowd, although Czechs also view this as good club to party the night away in. The music is hardly cutting edge, more party music - Lavka covers everything from 60's to today's best dance tunes. A popular feature of the club is the dancing girls. As each girl takes their turn on the podium, the crowd of admirers just grows and grows! In the summer Lavka's great terrace at the rear is packed with revellers, enjoying the views over the water, the cool draught Pilsner & swaying to the music. Daytime, Lavka transforms itself into a restaurant and a bar, somewhere to enjoy a pleasant meal and a drink by the river. As well as the tables on the terrace at the back, there is also an outside restaurant in the front of the place, by the water break. Whether it's at night or during the day, a visit to Prague is incomplete without dropping in on Lavka.
