The world renowned spa town of Karlovy Vary was named after its founder, King Charles IV, more than 600 years ago. The town and its architecture, dating mostly from the 19th century, have retained an air of luxury.

This largest spa town in the Czech Republic is beautifully located on the river Tepla, surrounded by hills, and it has many parks. The tour includes a visit of glass exhibition at Moser factory and a walk along the colonnade with its magnificent houses and The Geyser (Vridlo), the hottest among the 12 mineral springs whose temperature is 72.2° Celsius. The renowned Jan Becher herb liqueur, known as Becherovka and sometimes nicknamed the 13th mineral spring, has been produced here ever since 1805. The town is also well-known for its exquisite porcelain and glass production, and typical local biscuits traditionally sold by street vendors.
