Kutna Hora  the former silver mining town and occasional seat of Czech kings, was founded in the 13th century. A century later it became the second important town in Bohemia after Prague. Thanks to the town's vast deposits of silver, the Czech kings once belonged among Europe's richest monarchs. The tour includes the magnificent Gothic cathedral of St.Barbara, built 1388-1565, St.James Church, built 1340-1420, and the late-Gothic Italian Court, or Vlassky dvur, the former royal residence and a mint.
